How to grant missing app permissions?

If you're alerted about missing app permissions for Nexetic Backup, follow these steps to resolve the issue by regranting admin consent:


1. Sign in to Microsoft Entra Admin Center


Log in to Entra Admin Center at https://entra.microsoft.com/ using the tenant's Global Admin or Privileged Role Admin account.

 

2. Locate the Correct Application

  • Navigate to Applications → Enterprise Applications.
  • In the search bar, type Nexetic Backup.

    Important: Multiple applications may appear with the name Nexetic Backup. Be sure to select the correct one(s) based on the specific backup solution your organization is using:

  • Backup for Mail, OneDrive, Contacts, Calendar

Nexetic Backup - Application ID: 5f79838d-55f1-4baf-a3c1-75c938ff6d8a

Nexetic Backup for Entra ID: 3048f92a-8b7b-40cc-a98a-73c6c3272a3a

  • Backup for Entra ID

 

3. Grant Admin Consent 

  • In the selected application, go to Security → Permissions.

On the Permissions tab, click Grant admin consent for [Your Organization Name].

This action ensures that all required permissions are granted for the application to function properly across your tenant.
