How to Disable EWS throttling in Microsoft 365

1. Log in to Microsoft 365 admin page at https://admin.microsoft.com/

Click Show All in the feature pane.

2. Click Support and Help & support.

3. In the search field, search for throttling. Select Increase EWS Throttling Policy from the list.

Click Run Tests.

Diagnostic tests are now running.

4. Next, select the duration in days. The options are 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. Check the checkbox to acknowledge the change and click Update Settings.

You will get a message showing Success. The Exchange Web Services (EWS) throttling policy is being updated. The update will complete within 15 minutes.

5. Verify that throttling is disabled in Microsoft 365. You can do this by running the test again in 15 minutes, to see if the changes have been applied.

You can now see that Exchange Web Services (EWS) is currently not throttled.
