How to migrate from V1 to V2

How to migrate from Nexetic Backup Microsoft version 1 to version 2.

Step 1. Log in to Nexetic Portal

Open your web browser and go to the following address: https://portal.nexetic.com

Type your credentials and click Sign In.

Note

You can also migrate directly via the 365 Backup Portal (https://shield-cloud.nexetic.com). Just log in using your Microsoft 365 credentials.

For Nexetic partners, we recommend to use Nexetic Portal. You can manage all your 365 backup customers in one place with one credential.

No credentials?

It would help if you had your credentials for Nexetic Portal. You can't associate your Microsoft 365 account with the Nexetic Portal. If you don't have credentials, don't hesitate to get in touch with Nexetic Support support@nexetic.com.

Step 2. Check migration status of all customers

The list of customers includes all customers from V1 and V2. You can see which customers have already migrated to V2 and which customers you still need to migrate to V2.

The customer is in V1 = You can see Configure button

The customer is in V2 = You can see Configure SSO button or Impersonate button

There are probably insufficient permissions if you don't see any users on the list. Please get in touch with Nexetic Support.

The program validates that setting up SSO has been completed. Click on the portal underneath to close the window.

Refresh the page to update the SSO configuration. NOTE: sometimes, it may take a while to update the SSO configuration. Be patient and refresh the page after a while.

When the SSO configuration is updated, the account will show Impersonate button. Click on it to access 365 Backup Portal. There you can see the backup configuration and status. You can also restore data.
